BULLOCK CO., AL (WSFA) – Daryl Fischer and Russell Taylor were sentenced for poisoning wildlife and hunting dogs in Bullock County.
According to prosecutors, Fischer and Taylor sprinkled the pesticide Aldicarb, marketed as Temik, on a deer carcass and then spread the carcass round the hunting property in an attempt to kill coyotes. Among the dead animals were red-tailed hawks, a black vulture and three fox-hunting dogs.
In addition to probation, the men are prohibited from hunting game animals for a year and must pay $14,249 in restitution.
