PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — 59-year-old Randy Miller has been sentenced for committing a federal wildlife crime while acting as a hunting guide in South Dakota.
Miller shot and killed a turkey vulture on a U.S. Forest Service trail while guiding hunters in May 2013. He was sentenced to a year of probation and fined $1,000 for unlawfully taking wildlife.
