A local man who was hunting on private property in Bartholomew County sustained a gunshot wound to his foot on the opening day of dove season.
The 63-year-old man went dove hunting with friends Thursday morning.
He drew up his shotgun to shoot at incoming doves and accidentally pulled the trigger too soon, injuring his foot.
