Alamo, IN – According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Jeremy Phillips, 37, was shot by David Dawson, 31, while they were both turkey hunting along a farm field near the Jim Davis Bridge.
Phillips had set up some decoys and was attempting to call in a turkey.
Dawson had mistaken the decoys for actual turkeys and took a shot from across the field. Dawson then began stalking the decoys and fired a single shot at the decoys, striking Phillips in the face and shoulder.
