CASPER, WY – A Big Piney hunter charged with poaching a unique mule deer and displaying it at a hunting expo will serve jail time.

Nathan Strong was sentenced to up to 10 days in jail. He must pay $9,000 and will lose both his hunting and fishing privileges for seven years.

Strong had admitted that he shot the buck out of season with a white-tail deer tag last year. The deer was labeled as non-typical because it had an unusual set of antlers.
