SANPETE COUNTY— David and Rodney Anderson have been charged with hunting violations that occurred during the 2012-13 hunting seasons.

The brothers had both obtained anterless elk permits in 2012 even though David was on probation for a different criminal matter and therefore was not allowed to own firearms.

They were charged and pleaded guilty in Sanpete County Sixth District Court to wanton destruction of protected wildlife, a third degree felony.

Sentences included jail time, a $950 fine and $1,150 in restitution, to be paid to the Help Stop Poaching Fund.
