Pavilion, NY- A Genesee County hunter is in Strong Memorial Hospital receiving treatment for gun shot wounds.
The 42-year old Pavilion man, whose name has not been released, was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong after being accidentally shot in the chest and arm by a fellow hunter.
Deputies determined that the shot most likely came from a group of people who had been target shooting, approximately 500 yards away. Four people were interviewed, and so far no charges have been filed.
