LA: Teen hunter killed after lightning strike

The teen hunter is believed to have been struck by lightning just before sunset as storms were moving through the area on October 18.

The victim was inside an elevated deer stand at the time, said the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office in a press release.

The victim was pronounced dead by the Union Parish Coroner’s Office.

No further information is available at this time as this is an ongoing investigation.
