Outdoorsman finds himself in hot water after hunting illegally
If you, or someone you know, is, let’s just say thinking about bending the rules of hunting, you might want to read this. A Livingston County (Ky.) man was arrested in January in a Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources raid, according to a release from the department.
The 32 year old man was charged with 36 counts of illegally taking deer or wild turkey. Conservation officers serving a search warrant on the individual’s property found 34 deer heads and two wild turkeys that believed to have been killed in 2009.
The turkeys were found in the individual’s freezer, while the deer heads were found in a freezer in an outbuilding, truck and house. According to the release, 24 of the deer were still in the velvet, which means they were not fully grown.
