G&F fines hunter $18,000 for lying
CODY — An Arkansas hunter was fined more than $18,000 for falsifying his residency in order to purchase a resident hunting license in Wyoming, state wildlife officials said.
Charles E. Gerhardt, 60, also lost his hunting privileges for 10 years in Wyoming and 33 other states, according to Wyoming Game and Fish Department wardens.
Gerhardt was found guilty of two counts of false swearing to obtain resident deer and elk licenses in hard-to-draw limited quota elk and deer areas around Cody this past hunting season.
