A Kansas wildlife official says the agency is looking into two deer-hunting complaints by a landowner against Dodge City Police Chief Robin James.
The city issued a news release on Thursday saying all parties are cooperating in the investigation and the chief remains on duty.
No citation has been issued.
Maj. Mark Rankin of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks confirmed Wednesday that his agency is investigating the validity of two complaints by a Ford County landowner. Rankin says the complaints were called into the sheriff’s office last Saturday night and Sunday involving the police chief.
James says it would be inappropriate for him to comment, but he adds that things are not always what they are alleged to be.
