SCHUYLER, Neb. — The Colfax County Attorney’s Office said Leroy Bird, 68, of North Bend, was reported missing by his family when he did not return home Tuesday night.
His family told authorities that Bird left to go to a cabin near the Platte River outside of Rogers on Tuesday morning.
Search teams found his body in the Platte River, just south of County Road 2 in Dodge County, on Wednesday morning.
