The arrest is the result of a complaint received by EnCon Police, that two beavers and a blue heron were found dead at Hop Brook.
Trail cameras at Hop Brook snapped the image of a man Connecticut Environmental Conservation Police determined to be Resid Ismaili of Middlebury, reportedly checking illegal snare traps.
Ismaili was arrested on Friday, Dec. 7, after EnCon police received a complaint stating that two beavers and a blue heron were found dead at Hop Brook. All of the animals had allegedly been caught in illegal snare traps, the release stated.
The Middlebury man, 67, of 415 Whittemore Rd., was arrested on the following
charges:
Illegal trapping with a snare
Trapping on private property without permission Trapping without a license
