POLAND – A Kennedy teenager is in trouble with the law following an incident which could have ended much worse.
Kyle Ross, 17, was charged with discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence and possession of a slug in the field with no hunting license.
Troopers were told that a man was hunting in a field near railroad tracks on their friends’ property when they heard a gunshot and a round missed the son by only a few feet.
Troopers followed a set of footprints back to the subject’s residence and an investigation revealed that Ross borrowed his friend’s 20-gauge shotgun, walked into the backyard and fire a shot.
