MORIAH — New York State Police have identified the victim of a Dec. 1 hunting accident in the hills of Moriah.
Joseph Rodriguez, 83, of Mineville was shot in the abdomen by another hunter, who was using 12 gauge deer slugs.
The two hunters were reportedly from separate parties and Rodriguez was hunting alone on private property.
