Wildlife officials said eight Indiana hunters have fallen from elevated stands since the deer hunting season opened on October 1.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said since the beginning of this year’s hunting season, there have been at least nine hunter-related accidents in Indiana.
Emergency workers received a call from Vigo County on Sunday. The caller stated that Dave W. Archer, 60, had fallen 20-feet from an elevated hunting stand. Archer fell asleep, leading to the fall.
