(BEDFORD) – Lawrence County police were notified by a St. Vincent Dunn Hospital emergency room worker that they were treating a Bedford man with a gunshot wound.
Police investigated and determined the man had accidently shot himself with a rifle.
Sheriff Sam Craig says the man was getting ready to go shooting when his rifle discharged wounding his thumb.
