Troopers say Howard Jaidinger, 61, died Sunday after boat capsizes on lake; Brian Johnson, 42, Jeffrey Watson, 45, rescued
A three-man hunting group was out on Lake Louise near Glennallen at 8:40 a.m. Sunday when troopers received a report of a personal locator beacon being activated.
The beacon belonged to Brian Johnson, 42 of Anchorage. More than two hours later searchers found Johnson and Jeffrey Watson, 45 of Anchorage, floating approximately a mile off shore.
After being rescued, Johnson told troopers that 61-year-old Howard W. Jaidinger of Lake Louise was part of the hunting group and had been in a separate boat just ahead of Johnson and Watson. Jaidinger body was found at the scene.
