A 23-year-old was hunting deer with a .50 caliber muzzleloader, and had moved to a seated position on the ground. He rested the gun on his legs, muzzle pointed toward his feet, as he answered a text message.
As he leaned over to put the phone back into his pocket the gun discharged, grazing his right foot.
