A 45-year-old Fort Calhoun man was shot in the lower leg while deer hunting in Washington County.
He was hit after two men “sighting in a rifle” fired and struck the hunter, who was walking through a field toward a tree stand. He estimated the hunter was “a quarter to a half mile away” when struck by a bullet from the .308 caliber rifle.
