CLARENDON TOWNSHIP, MI – Two hunters have wounded themselves in separate shootings on the first day of Michigan’s firearm deer season.
A 21-year-old was hunting Sunday morning in Homer when he dropped a semi-automatic shotgun while trying to remove his jacket. He was shot in the upper torso.
Additionally, a 30-year-old hunter accidentally shot himself in the leg in Casco Township on Sunday.
