WI: Bow hunter accidentally shot in head by another hunter

TREMPEALEAU COUNTY, WI – A bow hunter has been seriously injured after accidentally being shot in the head by another hunter in Gale Township.

A squirrel hunter thought he saw a squirrel move by a tree and fired at it.

Soon after, authorities say the hunter realized he shot a bow hunter who was sitting on the ground leaning up against the tree.

The names of the hunters involved have not been released.
