MN: Minnesota Hunting violations

MN DNR enforcement report – 12/24/14

– Karl Hadrits (Crosby) investigated trespassing and suspicious hunting complaints, checked fishermen and muzzleloader deer hunters. An individual who was caught shooting a trumpeter swan back in October pled guilty in district court and was sentenced to pay $1,965 in fines and restitution.

– Bob Mlynar (Aitkin) assisted other officers on an illegal muzzleloader deer hunting case with multiple charges pending.

– Chris Tetrault (Isle) issued a citation to an angler with extra lines. Additional violations included trespassing in which a bobcat was seized.

– Scott Fitzgerald (Malmo) checked on various big game violations.

– Luke Croatt (Wealthwood) investigated a shot deer who was left lying on private land. Charges are pending and a firearm was seized.
