Think The Game Agencies Are Doing A Fine Job On Behalf Of Wildlife? Think Again!

It was reported in Stamford, CT, that landscapers were chasing the fawn in this photo, who ran head-first into a trailer, then into a pond or lake. They dragged the fawn out, hog-tied her, and were getting ready to beat her with a shovel when someone intervened. The fawn arrived at a rehabber’s who reported that the fawn was about a month old, was “wet, winded and stressed out.” Her front legs were zip-tied together and the hind legs were zip-tied together.

Then they were duct-taped. Then they were tied with twine. Then the front legs were tied to the hind legs with some type of belt. The zip-ties were so tight the rehabber could hardly remove them.

The fawn refused to eat and his pupils were dilated due to either extreme stress or head trauma.

Unbelievably, the Wildlife Division of the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection  determined that it was not a cruelty case.

You can write the governor and demand that game agencies be overhauled.
