A Canada goose shot multiple times at a special legal hunt in NJ park. She was illegally rescued by intrepid animal people and taken to several veterinarians and rehabbers, who worked hard to save her. She did have some weeks of relative freedom and happiness, but her heart finally succumbed during an operation to remove the bullets. Hope’s fighting spirit inspired everyone. (Near end of this article, the writer says, “This is war!” Mayhap this is what irked the wildlife agent noted above. If so, too bad!)
