OR: Two brothers sentenced to jail for illegal elk hunting in Lincoln County

Two brothers from Blodgett were sentenced to jail with their hunting licenses suspended for three years after pleading guilty this week to poaching crimes in Lincoln County.

Mitchell Paul Prindel, 23, and Tony McLain Prindel, 24, were convicted of unlawful take of an elk during a closed hunting season on Monday in Lincoln County Circuit Court.

Mitchell Prindell was also found guilty of waste of a game mammal and sentenced to 135 days in jail and five years probation. Tony McLain Prindel was sentenced to 120 days in prison, five years probation and was also convicted of criminal trespass charges.

They both have to pay more than $2,000 each in fines and another $6,000 jointly in restitution.
