BORING, Ore. – A man was shot and killed in Boring Saturday evening in what investigators believe was a hunting accident.

Rescuers conducted a hasty high-angle rope rescue because the victim was 100 feet down a steep ravine. The man died before he could be taken in a helicopter to the hospital, Mendoza said.

The victim was later identified as Nicholas Anderson, 19, of Oregon City.

The shooter was identified as Joseph Danna, 19, of Happy Valley.
