MOUNT GILEAD — Law enforcement officials believe the shot that killed a Morrow County teenager Sunday was fired inadvertently during a hunting trip.
The Morrow County Sheriff’s office says the death of 15-year-old Trevor Patrick Clark happened when a shotgun discharged while Clark and another teen were hunting.
Clark was carrying a shotgun while walking along the railroad track west of Mount Gilead. Clark handed the shotgun to a 16-year-old boy while walking.
The boy shifted his grip on the weapon, causing it to fire. The shot hit Clark in the left shoulder area.
