ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) — A Flowood man has pleaded guilty to hunting over a baited field.

U. S. Attorney Felicia Adams says Roger D. Latham, 47, entered a guilty plea to one-count of an indictment of taking migratory birds by the aid of bait.

Latham is accused of paying to have shelled corn placed on one or more duck impoundments in Sunflower County.

Lathem pleaded guilty to a specific charge from January 13, 2013.

Following the guilty plea, Latham was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine plus court costs, will serve two years probation, and is prohibited from hunting during his probation.
