SAN MIGUEL – The San Miguel Sheriff’s Office and multiple other agencies responded to an injured hunter on Lone Cone Mountain, Monday.

The Department of Wildlife, Norwood EMS and San Miguel Sheriff were able to rescue the injured hunter after being bucked off a mule. The victim was visiting the area and is not said to be from Colorado.

A medical flight transported the victim to Grand Junction Regional Airport for further medical attention.
